Renesas Electronics RL78/G1x 8-Bit Microcontrollers
Renesas Electronics RL78/G1x 8-Bit Microcontrollers are general-purpose MCUs with RL78 CPU core CISC architecture including 3-stage pipeline. These 8-bit MCUs operate from 2V to 5.5V single power supply voltage range. Features include 8/10-bit resolution A/D converter, 8-channel analog input, high accuracy, on-chip debug function, and on-chip key interrupt function. The RL78/G1x 8-bit microcontrollers operate from -40°C to 85°C ambient temperature range. These 8-bit MCUs come in a 20-pin plastic TSSOP package with 4.4mm x 6.5mm dimensions and 0.65mm pitch. Applications include small home appliances, toys, Office Automation (OA) equipment, simple lighting fixtures, and LED displays for portable batteries.
The RL78/G1M MCU offers real-time output for motor control 09 and 120-degree conducting control (to drive BLDC motors). This MCU is used in home, office, home appliances, and motor control. The RL78/G1N microcontroller offers high current output for LED displays in a wide variety of applications.

- ±2.0% (VDD = 2.0V to 5.5V and TA = -20°C to 85°C)

- TA = -40°C to 85°C temperature range
- Power management and reset function
- On-chip Selectable Power-On-Reset (SPOR) circuit
- Serial interface:
- 1-channel CSI
- 1-channel UA
- Timer:
- 4-channels 8-/16-bit timer
- 1-channel 12-bit interval timer
- Watchdog timer:
- 1 channel (operable with the dedicated low-speed on-chip oscillator)
- Real-time output function:
- 8 channels (RL78/G1M only) A/D converter
- 8/10-bit resolution A/D converter (VDD = 2.4V to 5.5V)

- 8 channels I/O port

- 18 (N-ch open drain output [VDD withstand voltage]: 14 (P-ch open drain output [VDD withstand voltage]: 6)
