Banner Engineering's S15S Temperature and Humidity Sensor, Available from Mouser, Provides Ambient Air Monitoring with IO-Link Communication

The S15S sensor provides a compact and efficient air monitoring solution with IO-link communication. The S15S sensor monitors temperature, humidity, and dew point to ensure a safe operating environment for machines and equipment used in industrial automation.

The Banner Engineering S15S temperature and humidity sensor, now available at Mouser, measures certain ambient conditions as part of an environmental monitoring system. The S15S sensor's rugged, overmolded housing and compact size allow the device to be deployed almost anywhere, including in confined spaces. When connected to an IO-Link master, the S15S delivers valuable sensor data for predictive maintenance and process optimization. Users can configure high and low thresholders and connect the sensors' discrete output to a programmable logic controller (PLC) or other system. If environmental measurements exceed these thresholds, the discrete output instructs the PLC to activate misters, humidifiers, or other devices to return the environment to its normal operating range.

The S15S temperature and humidity sensor ships with an aluminum grill filter cap. An optional stainless steel 10µm sintered filter is available separately.
