Texas Instruments DRV3255-Q1 Automotive Gate Driver Unit (GDU)

Texas Instruments DRV3255-Q1 Automotive Gate Driver Unit (GDU) is a highly-integrated three-phase gate driver for 48V automotive motor drive applications. The device is specifically designed to provide a 3.5A peak source and 4.5A peak sink gate drive currents, and 90V MOSFET transient overvoltage support to support high-power motor drive applications. A highly efficient bootstrap architecture minimizes power losses and the gate drivers' self-heating. A charge pump allows the gate drivers to support 100% PWM duty cycle control. A wide range of monitoring, diagnostics, and protection features in the Texas Instruments DRV3255-Q1 support a robust motor drive system design. A highly configurable Active Short Circuit (ASC) function enables selected external MOSFETs to be integrated to quickly respond to system faults and eliminate the needs of external components.
