TE Connectivity's (TE) Measurement Specialties SM2-25 String Pot is a cable-actuated position sensor. This miniature string potentiometer detects and measures linear position and velocity using flexible cable and a spring-loaded spool. This compact String Pot comes with rugged polycarbonate enclosure and 40" electrical cable for easy signal connection. The full stroke measurement ranges from 2.5" to 25" with 0.25% to 1% FS accuracy. TE's SM2-25 string pot provides a voltage divider output signal and operates in a temperature range of 0°F to +160°F. Other features include free release tolerance, 10KΩ input resistance, and an IP50 environmental rating.
