TDK IFL Series Flexield Noise Suppression Sheets
TDK’s IFL series Flexield are thin, flexible magnetic sheets that are designed to suppress unwanted electromagnetic interference (EMI) on various types of electronic equipment. While traditional methods of dealing with EMI require mitigating common mode and differential mode noise electrically via the use of inductors, ferrite beads, common mode filters and capacitors, Flexield utilizes the material’s magnetic properties to absorb, attenuate or reflect unwanted EMI noise. Multiple high permeability materials and thicknesses are available to choose from within the IFL series depending on performance requirements and the application.IFL series product consists of a surface film, a magnetic sheet layer formed from soft magnetic material and resin, a double-sided adhesive, and a release liner and is available in either sheet or roll form. The non-electrically conductive film can be attached directly to circuit components and the high flexibility of the product allows sheets to easily form to the desired shape. Applications for IFL series Flexield include but are not limited to: LED/LCD display address and data lines/traces/cables, stylus pens for improved sensitivity, sensor shielding and immunity, and digital audio and video lines.
