Espressif Systems ESP32-S31-WROOM-3 Modules are powerful, general-purpose wireless MCUs for IoT applications. The modules are offered with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi 6, BLUETOOTH® 5.4 LE, Bluetooth Classic, and IEEE 802.15.4 connectivity, supporting Zigbee® 3.0, Thread 1.4, Matter, and application-layer protocols. The modules are built around the ESP32-S31 series of SoCs, featuring a RISC-V 32-bit dual-core microprocessor running up to 320MHz, a ULP-RISC-V coprocessor, rich peripherals, and an onboard PCB antenna.
The Espressif ESP32-S31-WROOM-3 portfolio supports 8MB, 16MB, and 32MB Quad SPI Flash options, with 16MB Octal SPI PSRAM, in a 22.0mm x 30.0mm x 3.5mm module. The modules combine concurrent access to Flash and PSRAM, USB 2.0 High-Speed OTG, USB Serial/JTAG, Ethernet MAC, CAN FD, SD/MMC host, touch sensing, motor control PWM, LED PWM, and analog resources for flexible embedded system development.
The ESP32-S31-WROOM-3 modules are ideal for smart home devices, industrial automation, healthcare products, consumer electronics, smart agriculture, POS machines, service robots, low-power IoT sensor hubs, speech and image recognition, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networking cards, and touch or proximity sensing. The ESP32-S31-WROOM-3 operates from 3.0V to 3.6V over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
