Diodes Incorporated APK43070Q Single-Chip Synchronous Buck Controller

Diodes Incorporated APK43070Q Single-Chip Synchronous Buck Controller (SBC) is integrated with a USB Type‑C® Power Delivery (PD3.1) source controller. This supports both Standard Power Range (SPR)/Programmable Power Supply (PPS) up to 21V and Extended Power Range (EPR)/Adjustable Voltage Supply (AVS) up to 28V. The APK43070Q SBC combines a high‑efficiency constant‑frequency step‑down controller with integrated drivers for external N-MOSFETs, enabling optimized performance in medium‑ to high‑power designs. The APK43070Q controller integrates the SBC and PD3.1 decoder functions and results in a small footprint and reduced PCB size for high-power-density charging applications. This APK43070Q SBC includes I2C communication and multi‑port addressing (up to 8 ports), allowing smart power sharing without an external microcontroller. The APK43070Q SBC is AEC‑Q100 qualified and optimized for reliable USB-PD charging in vehicle power systems.
