Infineon Technologies XMC™ Digital Power Explorer Kit

Infineon XMC™ Digital Power Explorer Kit is an evaluation board for learning and testing digital power control applications. The board features a synchronous buck converter that can be controlled digitally with XMC microcontrollers. The synchronous buck converter has on-board resistive load banks that can be switched between 10%, 55% and 100% of the maximum load.

The XMC Digital Power Explorer Kit uses the XMC range of ARM® Cortex®-M microcontrollers, OptiMOS™ BSC0924NDI MOSFETs and IRS2011S high and low-side drivers. Two control card options are available (XMC1300, XMC4200) with an isolated on-board debugger that can be plugged in, to select between price/performance combinations. This board can implement voltage control and peak current control with slope compensation. Multiple test points are provided on the power board for checking the quality of all the relevant signals. A communication option via PMBus™ is provided for easy integration in more complex power management systems.
