Schneider Electric RUW Timer & Protection Modules
Schneider Electric RUW Timer and Protection Modules add timing and coil-protection functions to compatible Harmony electromechanical relay (EMR) sockets. The RUW lineup features three products. The RUW101MW provides multifunction time-delay control for hard-wired logic systems, while the RUW240BD and RUW241P7 provide diode and RC circuit protection, respectively. These compact modules offer flexible installation, equipment updates, and post-installation modifications without requiring replacement of the relay system. The RUW101MW multifunction timer module accepts a 24V to 240V AC/DC control circuit and works with RPZ sockets with three or four changeover (C/O) contacts and RUZ sockets with two or three C/O contacts. The module's selectable timing functions simplify adding time-delay control to hard-wired circuits, including systems that do not use a programmable logic controller (PLC).
The two protection modules from Schneider Electric help suppress electrical transients associated with relay coils. The RUW240BD integrates a diode for 6V to 250V DC control circuits, while the RUW241P7 uses an RC circuit for 110V to 240V AC control circuits. Both protection modules support RPZ and RUZ sockets used with RPM and RUM relays.
