NXP Semiconductors TJA1046 Dual High-Speed CAN Transceivers

NXP Semiconductors TJA1046 Dual High-Speed CAN Transceivers provide two interfaces between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two-wire CAN bus. The device incorporates two fully independent TJA1044GT high-speed CAN transceivers in a single package for automotive applications requiring differential transmit and receive capability.

The NXP TJA1046 CAN Transceivers support robust communication at data rates up to 5Mbit/s for CAN FD networks and are optimized for 12V automotive systems. The devices feature a very low-current Standby mode with host and bus wake-up capability, ideal passive bus behavior when the supply voltage is off, and excellent EMC performance.

The TJA1046 is an excellent choice for networks with more than one high-speed CAN interface requiring low-power operation and CAN bus wake-up capability. The compact HVSON14 package supports significant PCB space savings compared with traditional SO packages, making the TJA1046 useful for body and gateway control units.
