Diodes Incorporated AP6320x Synchronous Buck Converters

Diodes Inc AP6320x 2A Synchronous Buck Converters offer an ultra-low IQ solution with best-in-class EMI performance. The AP63200, AP63201, AP63203, and AP63205 feature a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 32V and support 5V, 12V, and 24V power supplies. The devices also include an integrated 125mΩ high-side power MOSFET and a 68mΩ low-side power MOSFET to provide high-efficiency step-down DC/DC conversion.

The AP63200, AP63203, and AP63205 utilize Pulse Frequency Modulation (PFM) with an ultra-low quiescent current of 22μA, resulting in efficiencies up to 80% and 88% during light load conditions of 1mA and 5mA, respectively. The AP63203 and AP63205 offer a fixed output and optimized design for reduced Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). The AP63201 operates in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), where the switching frequency is partially fixed regardless of the output load.

The AP6320x Converters provide a Frequency Spread Spectrum (FSS) with a switching frequency jitter of ±6%. This reduces EMI by not permitting emitted energy to stay at any frequency for a significant time. The devices achieve further EMI improvements through the proprietary gate driver scheme, which reduces switching node ringing without sacrificing MOSFET turn-on and turn-off times. The AP6320x Converters are available in a low-profile TSOT26 package.
