CML Microcircuits Wireless Packet Data Modems address various communications and control applications, offering operation to custom, free format, and packet data systems. These modems operate within a -40°C to +85°C temperature range and offer Serial, SPI, or UART interface types.

CMX469A FFSK Modems

CML Micro CMX469A FFSK Modems are CMOS LSI circuits that operate as full-duplex 1200, 2400, or 4800 baud FFSK (Fast Frequency Shift Keying) modems. A standard Xtal oscillator is employed with two clock frequencies (1.008MHz or 4.032MHz) to provide baud rate, transmit frequencies, and Rx and Tx synchronization. The CMX469A modems include circuitry for Carrier Detect and Rx Clock recovery, available as output pins. Rx, Tx, and Carrier Detect paths contain a bandpass filter to ensure optimum signal conditions.

CMX589A Full Duplex GMSK Modems

CML Micro CMX589A Full Duplex GMSK Modems are single-chip synchronous data pumps/modems designed for Wireless Data applications. Employing Gaussian filtering for Minimum Shift Keying (GMSK) baseband modulation applications, the CMX589A features a wide range of available data rates from 4000b/s to 200Kb/s. Data Rates and the choice of BT (0.3 or 0.5) are pin programmable to provide for different system requirements.
