Allegro MicroSystems ACS37612 Coreless Hall-Effect Current Sensor ICs
Allegro MicroSystems ACS37612 Standalone Coreless Hall-Effect Current Sensor ICs are an economical and precise solution for AC and DC sensing without requiring a magnetic concentrator core or a shield. The ACS37612 ICs measure currents from 200A to >1000A flowing through a PCB or a busbar with a typical accuracy of 1%.The Allegro MicroSystems ACS37612 Coreless Hall-Effect Current Sensor ICs feature a differential hall-based sensing topology that measures the magnetic field and virtually eliminates error from a common-mode stray magnetic field without the need of a laminated shield. Furthermore, this topology reduces the design size and bill of materials (BOM). The device has a no-contact simple assembly that allows high isolation.
The ACS37612 offers a 240KHz bandwidth ideal for inverter phase current sensing, load detection and management, power supplies, and DC/DC converters where fast switching is required. Overcurrent fault detection in critical safety applications is enabled via a high response time.
The Hall-Effect Current Sensor ICs provide an –40°C to 150°C ambient operating temperature and has a stellar ESD rating for the harsh automotive environment.
The ACS37612 is housed in a low-profile 8-pin surface mount TSSOP package (thin-shrink small outline package, suffix LU) for space-constrained applications while allowing simple surface mount assembly.
